Kazia and I didn’t really know each other very well but somehow we ended up creating an FB Page called Joinavision together and things just took off from there!
We had no idea how popular it would be and found ourselves growing at a rate much faster than we’d imagined.
The ethos behind Joinavision is to create a kinder, brighter society than our current one. We felt the world had become very divided and wanted to do something about it.
We posted about our thoughts and ideas as to how we could empower ourselves to create the world we wanted to live in and people seemed to like what we had to say.
Neither of us wanted it to be just a virtual vision though and we quickly got people meeting face to face. Dog walking, events in parks and later markets were all ways we connected people who felt similar to us.
As Joinavision grew so did our relationship and we began to realise we didn’t want life to ever ‘go back to normal’. We’d found our new normal and we loved it.
Joinavision FB Group now has nearly 11k members from all over the world. We learnt how to build a website, host talks, camps, markets and festivals and now we run our own community hub/pub The Cross Keys Henley.
